The Mighty Boosh comic Noel Fielding has revealed many of his sketches are based on his parents' stories of taking acid in the 1970s.
Fielding, who will perform at tonight's Teenage Cancer Trust show at London’s Royal Albert Hall, revealed his parents, Ray and Diane, provide inspiration with their tales of drug-taking.
"They’ve got loads of stories. Some of the best," Fielding told The Sun. "So I’m going to use them - mainly of them doing acid in the Seventies. They had loads of parties."
Fielding's parents have previously appeared on The Mighty Boosh but the comedian admitted they are too shy to appear on stage with him.
"I hope they like them [the sketches]. They love the Boosh... but they’re not coming on stage tonight as they do get a bit shy."
Fielding will reportedly close his act with comedy partner Julian Barratt and Razorlight's Johnny Borrell to perform as The Mighty Boosh Band.
