Gallagher replaces Doherty in Soccer Six

Liam Gallagher has replaced Pete Doherty in the celebrity Soccer Six tournament, The Mirror reports.

Doherty is unable to take part in the competition, in which celebs compete to raise money for charity, because he will be serving his 14-week jail term for violating probation.

Doherty is devoted to Queen's Park Rangers football club and used to write a fanzine for the club, while Gallagher follows Manchester City.

The Soccer Six tournament takes part at Millwall Football Club on May 18 and Reading Football Club on May 26. Last year's tournament winners were the Babyshambles team.
