Vanilla Ice arrested for domestic battery

Rapper Vanilla Ice has been arrested for allegedly pushing his wife Laura.

She told police that he had shoved her at their Florida home yesterday during a fight which had been raging since the previous day, reports TMZ.

According to the police report, she was not injured and said she wanted a divorce from the reality TV star, real name Robert Van Winkle.

She reportedly told officers: "He started yelling at me for going out to buy a bedroom set. In front of my daughter. I'm sorry I can't say any more until I talk to an attorney."

Van Winkle denied that he had shoved his wife but admitted that he had called her "nuts". He said she takes medication for bipolar disorder, but still has occasional "irrational episodes".

The 40-year-old was arrested in 2001 and 2004 on similar charges.

He has appeared in several reality TV shows since rising to fame with 1990 smash 'Ice Ice Baby', including Celebrity Boxing, The Surreal Life, The Farm and Hit Me Baby One More Time.

He also starred in The Surreal Life: Fame Games and is currently a contestant on Ty Murray’s Celebrity Bull Riding Challenge.
