Farrell's poems attract publisher interest

Publishers have approached Colin Farrell after he revealed that he dabbles in poetry.

The 31-year-old recently said writing helps "purge myself of the things I feel about my shortcomings".

A source at Penguin told Teletext: "We have made an informal approach to one of his reps about publishing Farrell's verse.

"But I understand we're not alone and that there may be a bidding war - and we haven't even read the stuff yet!"

The actor's new movie In Bruges opens in the UK on April 18.
