Renée Zellweger has claimed that she was told off by George Clooney for playing football on the Leatherheads set.
She said the director was concerned that she may damage her face while playing with her male co-stars and cause a delay on shooting the movie.
The actress told Heart radio: "I did throw the football around and I looked like an idiot with those little shoes with the buckles and the hats and the gloves and I got scolded by my boss.
"He came out and he told me to 'put that ball down' because what was he going to do with me if I missed and my nose was way over here and we had a close-up to shoot?"
Zellweger also revealed that she often arrived early to filming just so she could enjoy watching the men practising their sports skills.
The Bridget Jones star added: "I did show up for work on quite a few days where they didn't need me and early quite often as well, so I could sit on that bench, before we started filming and watch those guys throw the football around.
"That was not a bad day at work."
