Love banned from flight for smoking

Courtney Love has revealed that she was banned from a Virgin Airways flight after lighting up a cigarette at the airport.

The singer was spotted smoking in the first-class lounge in LA as she waited with daughter Frances Bean.

She revealed that she was "embarrassed" after airport bosses said she was not allowed on to the flight to London.

She told Virgin Radio: "I had a cigarette in the first-class lounge - like two hits. And they wouldn't let me on the plane with my daughter.

"They made some big thing like I'm a f**king terrorist or something. It was embarrassing."

A Virgin spokesman said she was permitted to fly to London the following night.
