Kerry Katona gives birth to fourth child

Kerry Katona has given birth to her fourth child, a baby boy named Maxwell.

The reality star and her husband Mark Croft welcomed the arrival of the child, who weighed in at 5lb 4oz, at the Macclesfield District General hospital in Cheshire yesterday.

"We're absolutely delighted and can't wait to get him home," Katona said in a statement.

Kerry named the tot after her publicist Max Clifford. Speaking yesterday, he said: "Mum and baby are doing really well. It was a natural birth and the family are really happy. I am very proud Max was named after me. Everyone knows how I feel about Kerry. I think the world of her. She's almost like another daughter to me. I am absolutely delighted that everything was fine."

Katona had been admitted to hospital on Wednesday after her waters broke. Her baby had not been due until next month.

The former Atomic Kitten singer already has one child with Croft; one-year-old Heidi Elizabeth. She also has two children with her ex-husband Brian McFadden; six-year-old Molly and Lilly-Sue, five.
