Sting purchases £13.4m US apartment

Sting has purchased a £13.4 million apartment in Central Park West, New York.

The 56-year-old musician's new property has five bedrooms, quarters for domestic staff and an indoor swimming pool, according to The Sun.

He already owns homes in London, LA, Tuscany and a 60-acre site in Wiltshire. The new investment comprises two floors and is inside a 43-storey building typically used by American businessmen.

The singer is currently touring America with The Police. The rockers will return to the UK in June with their final British tour date taking place at Hyde Park on June 29.
