Madden: 'Paris Hilton is down to earth'

Good Charlotte's Benji Madden has claimed that Paris Hilton is "down to earth".

The guitarist said he hadn't seen his girlfriend behave like the spoilt brat she is sometimes portrayed as in the media.

He is quoted as saying: "I have never met that Paris Hilton. I have never seen that side of her. She is actually very different. She is sweet and caring.

"I have never heard her talk about money or her background or showing off. She is actually very down to earth."

Hilton said earlier this month that she had never been happier thanks to her relationship with Madden. The couple are rumoured to be engaged.
