Kay blasts 'rude and sulky' Jack Black

Vernon Kay has claimed School of Rock star Jack Black is the worst celebrity he has ever interviewed.

The Beat The Star host said all three times he met Black the results were "terrible", describing him as "rude" and "sulky".

Kay told Metro: "Jack Black. I interviewed him three times and he was terrible each time.

"He was rude, sulky, obnoxious, everything you don’t want in an interviewee. I don’t mind saying that because it’s all on tape."

However, the TV presenter excused Black's behaviour, suggesting that the actor was probably tired on each occasion.

He added: "They were all done at press junkets where the interviewee sits in the same chair all day with different film crews coming in and out.

"It was just my luck that I was either the first or last each time I did him - he was either jet-lagged or p****d off."
