Timberlake pays respects to Diaz's dad

Cameron Diaz has been comforted by ex-boyfriends Justin Timberlake and John Mayer at a memorial service for her father.

Oil company foreman Emilio Diaz died suddenly from pneumonia last week, aged 58.

The service was held at Seal Beach in California on Sunday afternoon, reports People.

A source said: "Most people started arriving at 1.30 and hardly anyone wore black. Lots of people were wearing Hawaiian shirts. It looked more like a party."

Diaz made a short speech to the group and the service began breaking up at around 4pm. Mayer and Timberlake also left at around that time.

The family invited well-wishers to make a donation to Emilio's favourite organisations Surfrider.org and Reefcheck.org instead of sending flowers.

Diaz and Timberlake dated for more than three years before going their separate ways at the end of 2006. The actress was reported to be involved with Mayer last year.
