Holmes 'upset' by marriage rift rumours

Katie Holmes has been hurt by rumours that she is experiencing marriage difficulties with Tom Cruise, say reports.

The actress is keeping "a smile on her face" when she is pictured in public, but is apparently distraught by the media gossip about the breakdown of their relationship.

"Katie wishes she didn't care about the gossip and rumours, but it is hard for her not to," a source told OK!

"Her solution is to keep going about her life, business as usual. She'll keep a smile on her face when she's out in public with Tom and keep the hurt hidden at home."

It was reported last month that Holmes had fallen out with her husband over his extravagant plans for their daughter Suri's second birthday party.
