Dempsey shelves plans for UK move

Patrick Dempsey has put plans to move to the UK on hold because of the current state of the American economy.

The Grey's Anatomy star wanted to buy a property in the English countryside after a holiday last year but has now had a change of heart.

He said he may settle for purchasing a holiday home as a getaway for himself, wife Jillian Fink and their children Tallulah, six, and one-year-old twin sons Darby and Sullivan.

Contactmusic quotes him as saying: "I would love to live here. But I think I will have to wait for the American dollar to get stronger.

"A holiday place would be perfect, but to bring my kids up here would be ideal."
