Myles finds US accent easy to master

Brit actress Sophia Myles has admitted that she found putting on a US accent for her new TV show Moonlight "easy", the Daily Star reports.

Myles, who stars as the love interest to Alex O'Loughlin's vampire private investigator in the show, claimed that living in the US made it easier to pick up the accent.

Speaking at the Paley Television Centre in LA, she said: "It's been really easy actually, because I've been living here for eight months now so I'm hearing it all the time, it's on the television and radio.

"With accents it's kind of like thinking of your voice as an instrument in a band, you go to a foreign city and they're playing a slightly different melody so you have to tune your own voice into whatever the melody of the specific region is."

Myles has previously appeared in the films Underworld, Thunderbirds and Tristan & Isolde.

Moonlight airs Tuesdays at 10pm on Living in the UK.
