Julia Roberts: 'I don't wear deodorant'

Julia Roberts has admitted that she never uses deodorant.

The mum-of-three told US talkshow host Oprah Winfrey that she sticks to soap and water to keep herself fresh.

During a discussion of hygiene products on the programme, she said: "I don't like to share that with a large number of people, but it's just never been my thing."

However, she added: "Sometimes, midday at work, I freshen up."

Roberts hit the headlines in 1999 when she attended the UK premiere of Notting Hill with visible armpit hair.

She said at the time: "You'd think it was like I had a chinchilla under there, the way the world responded."

The actress is currently filming new movie Duplicity with Clive Owen.
