'EastEnders' star makes West End debut

James Alexandrou will make his West End debut in July at Trafalgar Studios.

The former soap star will appear in Steven Hevey's comedy In My Name, according to The Stage.

Also among the cast are Ray Panthaki, Kevin Watt and Adeel Akhtar. The production previously achieved a sold-out run at the Red Lion Theatre in Islington.

In My Name follows a story set on the day of the 7/7 bombings in London.

Alexandrou quit EastEnders in April 2006 after ten years in the soap playing Martin Fowler.
