Paul McCartney writing book about Linda

Sir Paul McCartney is planning to release a book about his late wife Linda.

The Beatles legend met publishers in London this week to discuss the special project. It is thought that the book will contain hundreds of photos taken by Linda, as well as details about "intimate moments" shared between the couple.

A friend of Macca told The Mirror: "Times have been hard for him recently with the divorce from Heather. He's delighted he can focus his mind on something else. He sees this as a special tribute to Linda's memory."

Linda died in April 1998 following a battle with cancer. McCartney recently described his late wife as "smart and talented" at the launch of a London exhibition dedicated to her photography.
