Fisher opens up about Ford fling

Carrie Fisher has admitted that she had a fling with Harrison Ford while filming Star Wars.

The pair have always denied rumours of a romance but Fisher said they "got very close" on the set.

The actress, who played Princess Leia to Ford's Han Solo, said: "I went on the film saying, 'I'm going to have an affair', like it was a kiwi, an exotic fruit - because I had never had one.

"I had a crush on Harrison for sure. Harrison is great fun when he's had a few drinks."

The 51-year-old, now a successful author and screenwriter, added, "I’m going to get in so much trouble", before revealing: "Once I left the room and came back and he was in the closet not wearing a lot of clothes."

Fisher made the revelation to presenter Justin Lee Collins during his show Bring Back... Star Wars, which airs on Channel 4 next month.
