Cruise wants to beat Holmes in marathon?

Tom Cruise has reportedly started training for the Boston Marathon.

The Hollywood star has apparently been inspired by his wife Katie Holmes, who ran last year's New York Marathon in under five and a half hours.

Cruise is allegedly showing a competitive streak in training and is desperate to beat Holmes's time in the race.

A source told The Mirror: "When he saw her running that race, something kicked inside him and he decided he'd have to do it - possibly in Boston. That's the kind of guy he is."
