Beckinsale tried to deny Wiseman love

Kate Beckinsale has revealed that she initially tried to deny her feelings for her future husband.

The actress married director Len Wiseman in 2004 after they met on the set of action film Underworld.

However, she said she originally quashed her attraction because she was involved in a long-term relationship with co-star Michael Sheen.

She said: "It was one of those things that was happening but that we tried to pretend was not happening for a long time. Len and I were both with other people at the time, and the whole thing was really difficult."

She admitted that she knew she would have a future with Wiseman from the moment they kissed, saying: "We made the film, and it wasn't until after it had finished that it finally dawned on me how much I liked him.

"I knew within five minutes of kissing Len that I would marry him."

Beckinsale, 34, has nine-year-old daughter Lily from her relationship with Sheen.
