Published Friday, May 2 2008, 12:45 BST | By Simon Reynolds

The 33-year-old was caught speeding in his Lamborghini in Vancouver, Canada in 2006. Upon being asked to produce his driver's licence by police, Kroeger handed over his Visa card. The rocker was found to have a blood alcohol level of .14, nearly twice the legal limit.
On leaving court, Kroeger said that "everyone makes mistakes".
His lawyer Marvin Stern, who plans to appeal the decision, claimed that police officers infringed his rights when they took his breath test.
Kroeger was also fined C$600 (£298).
