Madonna hits the town with Timberlake

Madonna decided to hit the town with Justin Timberlake after they performed together in Manhattan this week.

The Queen of Pop was keen to let her hair down after she and Timberlake made a promotional appearance at New York City's Roseland Ballroom on Wednesday.

"We had to celebrate," Madonna revealed in a radio interview with Ryan Seacrest. "[We] decided we both work too hard and have to have fun."

"I had a shot of tequila," she continued. "I may have had a lemon drop, too … We 'tied one on' as they say."

Madonna admitted that her usual attitude is "work hard, and work so hard there's no time to play".

The pair visited the exclusive Box nightclub together, where a celeb-studded party was taking place. R.E.M. singer Michael Stipe and actor Josh Duhamel were among those in attendance.

Madonna and Timberlake's track '4 Minutes' is currently at the top of the UK singles chart.
