John Mayer plays down Aniston romance

John Mayer has played down tabloid reports about his romance with actress Jennifer Aniston.

The musician, who was snapped on holiday with Aniston last week, said he was shocked at the amount of media coverage his relationship was receiving.

He told Entertainment Tonight: "Listen, this is not a scandal, this is not an issue, this is not a problem, this needs no spin control."

Commenting on the paparazzi pictures of the couple sunbathing in Miami, he said: "I don't fault him, I don't fault anybody, I don't fault you, I don't fault this or that.

"There are much worse problems in the world. Everything's cool!"

Last month Aniston was spotted sharing a romantic dinner date with the rocker while taking a break from shooting her new movie Marley & Me.
