Preston: 'Cruise was pro at sex scenes'

Kelly Preston has said that Tom Cruise was a "pro" when it came to filming sex scenes in Jerry Maguire.

She admitted that the romantic scenes in the 1996 movie were awkward to shoot, but claimed Cruise helped her get over any nerves.

The wife of John Travolta told Extra: "There's always awkwardness!...But he's a pro. I'm a pro. It was a completely closed set, very well written, shot fast."

Preston also defended her co-star for his unusual antics on The Oprah Winfrey Show in 2005 when he confirmed his romantic relationship with Katie Holmes.

"To be honest, I felt sad that I live in a society where we can't show pure joy if you're excited," she added.

"He's passionate, so he showed some unbridled emotion. Good for him. It was just spun out of control."
