Fergie: 'I could live on benefits'

The Duchess of York, Sarah Ferguson, has claimed that she could live on benefits.

The Duchess spent six months with a family of six who live on £80 a week while filming an ITV documentary and admitted she could adjust to that lifestyle.

Speaking to the Radio Times, she said: "I could live in a council house and below the benefit line, of course. Anyone could."

The Duchess In Hull follows her time with the Sargersons in Yorkshire as she tries to win them over with healthy living ideas on a shoestring budget.

The two-part series begins on May 19 at 9pm on ITV1.
