Jessica Simpson splits with boyfriend?

Jessica Simpson has split with American football star Tony Romo, reports claim.

The Dallas Cowboys quarterback allegedly revealed that the romance was over during a night out with college friends in Chicago.

A pal told blog TheseBootsAreMadeForStalking: “They’re broken up. He told us they broke up and that was that. We’re guys so we didn’t talk about it much.”

He added: “[Tony was] having a blast playing Pop-A-Shot mini golf and bags. He was with some football college buddies and drinking Grey Goose and Diet Cokes.”

An onlooker is quoted as saying: "He was surrounded by girls. We had to restrain some who forcibly tried to make their way to his table. He zeroed in on one blonde all night. That blonde wasn’t Jessica Simpson.”

The singer's publicist denied the reports, telling Access Hollywood that the couple are still together and in love.

They have been dating since November 2007.
