Burns Gay Pride rumours denied

A representative for Pete Burns has denied rumours that the singer scrapped an appearance at a Gay Pride festival in Gran Canaria because another band was using his song.

It was reported yesterday that the Celebrity Big Brother star stormed away from the event after learning that Bearforce1 included part of Dead or Alive hit 'You Spin Me Round' in their set.

However, his online PA said the star was "hyped and excited" ahead of the gig on Saturday night but had arrived too late due to airport delays following a last-minute booking.

He was reportedly replaced because the festival's organisers believed he would be unable to make it.
