Lilly 'too cheap' to leave mouldy house
Lost star Evangeline Lilly has admitted that she was too "cheap" to move out of a house that was making her ill.

The actress, who plays Kate on the ABC drama, bought a new home in Hawaii last year after her previous dwelling burned down due to an electrical fault.

Despite the fact that the new property was found to be affecting her health, she said she opted to stay there rather than move again.

She told US talkshow host Jay Leno: "I bought a house last summer and I ended up finding out that it was completely mould-infested, and I was being poisoned by the mould and was therefore very ill for the first four months of the Lost shooting season.

"But I didn't find out for four months and I didn't move from the house, even though I knew something was wrong and I was probably not well, because I'm just really cheap and if I have to pay a mortgage and rent, I'm not a happy person."

The 29-year-old added: "Eventually my illness overrided my thriftiness. I really wasn't well. The pipes were contaminated. It was a cheap house."
