Britney Spears’s dad has quit his job to focus on his role as co-conservator of his daughter’s estate.

Jamie Spears and attorney Andrew Wallet were granted temporary control of the singer's affairs in February after she was sectioned following a custody dispute at her home.

Court papers have revealed that he has now stopped working as a caterer to devote his "full-time attention" to his new role, for which he is awarded £1,250 per week from Britney's estate.

A request for a £5,000 to cover back pay for the first month of his conservatorship was also granted, reports People.

Jamie and Britney spent last week with Mel Gibson and wife Robyn at the actor's holiday home in Costa Rica.
