Report: Aerosmith star checks into rehab

Aerosmith singer Steven Tyler has checked into rehab, say reports.

The 60-year-old rocker was spotted at the Aurora Las Encinas Hospital in California, according to TMZ.

It is the same clinic used by Dr. David Drew Pinsky, who hosts reality TV show Celebrity Rehab.

Representatives for the musician and his daughter Liv have not commented on the rumours.

Tyler and bandmate Joe Perry were dubbed "the Toxic Twins" in the '70s due to their famously excessive drug and alcohol intake.

However, the frontman completed a rehabilitation programme in 1986 and has advocated sobriety for over two decades.
