Employee denies affair with Twain's husband

A former secretary has hit back at claims that she destroyed Shania Twain's marriage.

It was announced last week that the country singer had split from record producer Robert "Mutt" Lange after 14 years. They have six-year-old son Eja D'Angelo.

Marie Anne Thiébaud dismissed speculation that she had an affair with Lange when she was hired to manage the couple's château in Switzerland.

She told Us Weekly: "When marriages break up they break up for all sorts of complicated reasons, it's never just one reason.

"And those reasons should be kept private. If you're looking for a person that broke up a marriage then you have the wrong person. I'm not that person."
