The troubled ex-footballer was escorted to the rehab unit by police on Saturday after guests at the hotel in Kensington voiced concerns about his behaviour. According to The Sun, Gazza had been seen mumbling and spinning around in circles.
A Met Police spokesman said: "We were called to a West London hotel on Saturday afternoon with concerns about the behaviour of a 40-year-old man. Officers drove him to a hospital, where he voluntarily admitted himself."
It is the second time that Gazza has checked into the clinic this month. Doctors are now hoping that he will agree to a longer stint at the unit.
An insider revealed: "He is more worried about the other patients and wants to make them happy. We've told him he needs to focus on getting himself better, but he seems to be in denial."
Paul's daughter Bianca recently requested privacy for her father while he receives help for his problems.
