Amy fires 'positive influence' Haines

Metropolis management has fired Alex Haines from working with Amy Winehouse.

Haines, who was described in April as a "positive influence" on the singer, was sacked after admitting to smoking crack, reports The Mirror.

It was reported last month that Haines was dating Winehouse and that he was the cause behind a rift between the musician and her jailed husband Blake Fielder-Civil.

However, Haines will no longer be working with the popstar after a film was uncovered featuring him taking Class A drugs.

"Alex was caught bang to rights," said a source. "There was no mistaking from looking at the film that he was taking drugs. It was a shock to everyone.

"The boss went mental and Alex was asked to resign. The last thing Amy needs hanging around her are more users.

"Alex was supposed to help her and he crossed the line. He had to go."
