Clooney "relieved" to be single again

George Clooney is said to be "relieved" that he is no longer with girlfriend Sarah Larson.

It was reported yesterday that Clooney had split from the former cocktail waitress, whom he dated for a year.

A friend revealed that the actor had called time on the relationship because he felt the couple had "little in common".

He told In Touch: "George is relieved to be single again. He thinks Sarah is sweet and that is why it was so hard to break up with her.

"The truth is they had little in common and he just doesn't want to be tied down."

Another pal told People that Larson had recently moved out of the star's LA home.

Clooney's agent has refused to confirm the news.
