Liv Tyler has revealed that she wants to raise her son in the country.

The Lord Of The Rings actress hopes that moving away from their hectic lifestyle in New York will help son Milo get in touch with nature.

In an interview with Cookie magazine, Tyler said: "I'd love for [Milo] to have pets and chickens to take care of. And I want to give him all the tools to be the best man he can be.

"For me, so much of that has to do with being in nature and really using your hands when you're a kid."

Tyler, who recently split from Milo's father Royston Langdon, confessed she wanted her son to have a better upbringing than she had. The 30-year-old didn't discover that Aerosmith singer Steve Tyler was her father until she was 12.

"I'm still working through my issues, which I always will be," Tyler said.
