Lohan forced to cancel birthday bash

Lindsay Lohan's 22nd birthday party has reportedly been cancelled to avoid more negative publicity.

The actress, who checked into rehab three times last year, has said she will be "in production on a movie" and "can't commit to a specific date".

She had hired a company to find corporate sponsorship for the Moroccan-themed bash, but they were apparently unable to drum up much interest.

A source told blogger Perez Hilton that the star's management team pushed her to scrap the event and pay for a smaller party herself.

Lohan called off her 21st birthday bash in Las Vegas after checking into rehab.
