Abbey Clancy denies WAG rivalry

Abbey Clancy has insisted that she gets along with her fellow WAGs, describing them as "nice" and "lovely".

The model, who is the girlfriend of Liverpool and England footballer Peter Crouch, admitted that she is tired of reading exaggerated reports of rivalry and bust-ups between the WAGs.

"I've read loads of things about how bitchy we're all supposed to be," Abbey told The Mirror. "Apparently we spy on each other's outfits and change our bikinis five times a day. It's all nonsense! All the footballers' girlfriends I've met have been lovely. One of my good friends Elen Rives is Frank Lampard's girlfriend and everyone is nice.

"WAGs are just normal girls who fell in love with a boy who plays football. They are no more bitchy than doctors or teachers' girlfriends."

Clancy made headlines after she clashed with former Big Brother star Aisleyne Horgan-Wallace at Crouch's birthday party last month.
