The sentencing of a woman who stalked David Walliams has been delayed for the preparation of psychological reports.

Sarah Bartholomew appeared in court on Friday and took the opportunity to reiterate her feelings for the comedian through her solicitor.

"My client has asked me to tell this court of her strong feelings for Mr. Walliams," Jonathan Steingold told Highbury Magistrates' Court. "She has asked me specifically to impart that."

Deputy District Judge David Miller responded: "I think that she's made that quite clear on a number of occasions. I'm not sure it's going to help her."

Bartholemew, from Essex, was arrested last month and later pleaded guilty to harassing Walliams between October and February.

The 29-year-old followed Walliams for several years and sent him sexual messages and gifts. She later sent intimidating letters to his lawyers and agent.

Judge Miller adjourned sentencing until June 20 for reports to be prepared but said Bartholemew could face a "significant" prison term.
