Sanjeev Bhaskar joins 'Spamalot' cast

Sanjeev Bhaskar is to join the cast of Monty Python musical Spamalot.

The Kumars At No. 42 star will follow in the footsteps of Tim Curry, Simon Russell Beale, Peter Davison and Alan Dale to play the role of King Arthur.

The musical, which opened in the West End in October 2006, will leave the Palace Theatre on January 3, 2009 in preparation for a UK tour starting next April.

Bhaskar's first performance at the venue will be on June 23.
