The ex-Baywatch actress will star in an eight-part series, provisionally titled Pamela, for the E! channel this summer.
She told Entertainment Weekly: "I don't miss doing TV. It's too much work. But this way is much easier for me.
"I'm an exhibitionist. Some people are afraid of being filmed. I'm afraid of not being filmed. Yesterday I was in the bathtub shaving my legs and having an interview. There's something sexy about shaving your legs in front of your boyfriend - not necessarily the whole world."
Despite agreeing to have cameras follow her every move, Anderson confessed that she isn't a fan of reality TV and hopes her show will offer audiences something different.
She said: "[On my show] nothing is contrived; everything is spontaneous. We're shooting it on film, so it's nothing like I've seen."
