Ferrier, who Katona regarded as her real father, passed away in Texas on Tuesday morning.
The reality TV star flew out to America with her stepsister yesterday after she was informed by doctors that he had taken a turn for the worse.
Speaking about Ferrier, Katona said: "To me he was my real dad, a lovely man who I love and will really miss."
A spokesperson added: "Kerry Katona's stepfather, Arnold Ferrier, died in the early hours of this morning after a brief battle with cancer."
