Posh: Holmes will be "magnificent" on stage

Victoria Beckham has insisted that Katie Holmes will be "magnificent" when she makes her Broadway debut in Arthur Miller's All My Sons.

Holmes will star as Ann Deever in the play, which focuses on a family patriarch who sold faulty airplane parts to the US during World War II.

Speaking to Us, Beckham said that she was "very proud" of her friend Holmes for taking on the part. "I think Katie's incredibly talented," she commented. "I'm very proud of her to be doing this play. I'm sure it's going to be magnificent."

She added: "She's excited and I'm excited."

Holmes's All My Sons co-stars include John Lithgow, Dianne Wiest and Patrick Wilson.
