Ne-Yo has been handed 24 hours of community service after being caught driving without a valid licence.

The R&B star, who has penned tracks for Beyoncé and Usher, was arrested by Georgia police in February when he was spotted driving his Range Rover at 105 mph - 50 mph over the speed limit.

As part of the sentence, he must perform with a local youth group called Boys And Girls Club. The 28-year-old, who admitted the charge, was also ordered to pay a £500 ($1,000) fine and attend a defensive driving class.

Ne-Yo's new album Year Of The Gentleman will be released in August.
