Ethan Hawke to marry girlfriend?

Ethan Hawke is to planning to tie the knot with girlfriend Ryan Shawhughes, reports claim.

The actor confirmed in January that the pair are expecting their first child.

They were spotted registering for a marriage licence in New York on Tuesday, according to Page Six.

Hawke began dating Shawhughes following his split from wife Uma Thurman in 2004 after six years of marriage.

She had previously worked as a nanny for the couple's daughter Maya Ray, nine, and son Levon Roan, six.
