The actress recently agreed to star in Arthur Miller play All My Sons after four months of talks.
Producer Eric Falkenstein said Holmes's plans to move Cruise and their two-year-old daughter Suri to Manhattan had held up the negotiations.

Falkenstein dismissed rumours that Holmes, who has reportedly been rehearsing for 12 hours a day, was hired to play Ann Deever because of her high profile.
