LaBeouf credits Voight for success

Shia LaBeouf has credited his Transformers co-star Jon Voight for his success in Hollywood.

The 21-year-old admitted that Oscar winner Voight, the father of Angelina Jolie, acted as a paternal figure towards him.

LaBeouf is quoted by WENN as saying: "I guess he saw a kid who needed something that he could provide, which was guidance, a male figure, all of that, education. Jon showed me that there was so much to strive for."

He added: "He's just a great friend. He's a loving man. I love that guy."

LaBeouf is currently filming Transformers 2: Revenge Of The Fallen, scheduled for a June 2009 release.
