Kelly Osbourne has revealed that she often ends up weeping over letters sent in for her agony column in The Sun.

Osbourne told The Independent that she frequently becomes engrossed in her readers' problems.

She said: "Sometimes it's really hard. One of the letters I had to respond to was from this young girl whose mother died when she was seven and her brother was one, they had no money and are going to end up having to move to a hostel until they can get back on their feet.

"It was a two page letter and by the end I was in tears because it was so sad."

Osbourne added that more than half her letters, which predominantly concern chlamydia, self-harm and depression, come from teenage boys.

"Women have a social group where they feel free to talk about all those kinds of things, like girly gossip, but guys are too tough to talk like that," she explained.
