Rooney wedding location open to debate

Reports have varied on the secret location of Wayne Rooney's marriage to Coleen McLoughlin - less than a day before the ceremony begins.

The pair have not revealed details of tomorrow's ceremony and are believed to have a multi-million-pound coverage deal with a magazine.

While reports today concurred that the wedding will be somewhere near the Italian coastal resort of Portofino, they failed to agree on the exact location.

According to the Daily Telegraph, Rooney and McLoughlin will tie the knot at Villa Durazzo - the location chosen by Rod Stewart and Penny Lancaster for their wedding last summer.

The nuptials will be carried out by Claudio Marsano, Mayor of Santa Margherita, in the 330-year-old villa's Salone Degli Stucchi room, the newspaper claimed.

The Daily Mail, however, is expecting the ceremony to take place at the nearby church of San Michele di Pagana, saying Stewart's venue is no longer licensed for weddings.

It also predicted that a no-expense-spared reception will be held on the RM Elegant luxury yacht in the nearby bay.
