Fern Britton returns to TV

Fern Britton has returned to television after four days off following her gastric band admission.

The presenter took a break from This Morning after being forced to admit that she had undergone weight loss surgery to her stomach.

She returned to the programme on Wednesday. An ITV spokesman said it was now "business as usual".

It was recently reported that enquiries about gastric bands have increased 400% following Britton's revelation.
