Johansson: 'I email Barack Obama'

Scarlett Johansson has revealed that she keeps in contact with presidential candidate Barack Obama via email.

The actress-turned-singer claimed it was "amazing" that someone with as many responsibilities as Obama made the time to speak to his supporters.

Speaking to Politico, she said: "You'd imagine that someone like the Senator who is constantly travelling and constantly 'on' - how can he return these personal emails?

"But he does and in his off-time I know he also calls people who have donated the minimum to thank them."

Johansson added: "I feel like I'm supporting someone, and having a personal dialogue with them, and it's amazing."

The actress, who is currently dating Ryan Reynolds, joked earlier this year that she was "engaged" to Obama.
